Meet Our Veterinarians
Cindy Grimm, DVM
I graduated from Drake University in 1985 and began working at a human tissue bank storing human bone and skin transplantation. I left for Iowa State University to become a veterinarian. After graduation in 1996, I worked one year in the Chicago suburbs, and then moved to Colorado where I started my career in Emergency Medicine. I enjoy reading, spending time with family, friends, and my 2 cats Buster, Bob and my loyal dog Spike.
Kelly Barrett, DVM
I graduated in 2001 from Colorado State University's Veterinary School. I then completed an internship at Ohio State University in 2002 for small animal, exotics, internal medicine, and surgery. I have been in general and emergency practice since then. My special interests are internal and exotic medicine. When I am not working I enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, cycling and gardening.
Jeremy Sebor, DVM
After receiving a degree in Animal Science from Cornell University, I continued on to graduate from Ross University where I received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Next I completed an internship in Oncology and Internal Medicine which was partnered with an emergency facility. Since my experience there, I have been working in emergency and critical care for the past 7 years. I love skiing, hiking, camping, climbing, and the occasional trip to the beach when possible. By far I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife Mindy, and my 4 little maniacs - Trek, Mickey, Nellie, and Meatball.

I first received my Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Duke University. I then decided to change career paths to pursue veterinary medicine. I then attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine obtaining my doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Following my internship at the University of Minnesota, I began my career in emergency medicine. After moving to Colorado in 2004, I joined NEPC and BEPC in 2005. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband Jason, 4 dogs (Buddy, Juno, Roxy, and Foo), and 2 cats (Ed and Chewy) and taking advantage of living in Colorado by hiking, camping, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
Kristyn Richardson, DVM
I first obtained my Bachelor's in Human Biology from the University of Kansas in 1998. Then, I completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University in 2002. With a special interest in Anesthesia and Rehabilitation, I have been practicing Emergency Medicine since 2003 in both Indiana and Colorado. My spare time is spent with my husband, two kids and dog.
Kristy Amer, DVM
I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2003. I then completed my internship and an internal medicine residency at the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute following graduation. Here a large part of my focused was in Emergency and Critical Care. In 2007, I shifted my focus from large to small animal medicine at a large progressive general practice in Lexington, Kentucky. I later joined a multi-doctor practice in Colorado Springs where I found I missed the excitement of emergency practice. Shortly after, I moved to Arvada where I joined the Boulder/Northside Emergency Pet Clinic team. In my spare time I enjoy biking, hiking, camping and spending time with my 2 labs Mya and Abby.
